America - Cutting and Fitting Instructions for Single-Shutter Screen

Step 1

  • 1. A. Measure the height and width of the opening and cut the kit at the appropriate dimension.

  • a) FRAME WITHOUT A BRUSH: We measure the height of the opening and subtract 40 mm before we cut the two frames at the specific height.

  • b) FRAME WITH A BRUSH: We measure the width of the opening and subtract 80 mm before we cut the horizontal frame.

  • B. DOOR PROFILE

  • a) We subtract 105 mm from the total height of the opening in order to cut the two door profiles at the specific height.

  • b) We subtract 130 mm from the total width on the opening in order to cut the upper door profiles at the specific width.

  • C. TRAVERSE: We subtract 130 mm from the total width of the opening in order to cut the traverse.

  • D. ALUMINIUM FITTINGS: For the aluminium fittings we subtract the same amount of mm as to the height and width as we did for the door profile.
  • Step 2

  • 2. Join together the frame profile by using the special plastic articulation corner edges.
  • Step 3

  • 3. Before placing the frame on the wall. Open two holes, one at the upper and one at the lower part of the frame vertical profile, and slide the frame toward the posterior part of the governor. Then slide in the three hinges on the side we want the door to open. (caution: in case you use a magnet for the door to close, place them on the frame where the door opens and closes)
  • Step 4

  • 4. Place the plastic fitting in the door groove where it will be fitted with the frame and place the hinges on the apposite frame profile, depending on the direction you want the door to open. Do the same with the frame profile. Then, screw on the traverse at the door height midline.
  • Step 5

  • 5. Use the plastic guide provided in the equipment set in order to facilitate you to drill the door profile and screw on the traverse profile. Then, screw on the traverse at the door height midline.
  • Step 6

  • 6. Use the special plastic corner edges to assemble and frame the door profile.
  • Step 7

  • 7. Carefully apply the screen and press the rubber in the special profile groove, so that the screen is stretched. Cut the excess screen.
  • Step 8

  • 8. Place the special aluminium fittings in order to cover the rubber and place the plastic caps on the four corners of the door.
  • Step 9

  • 9. Drill the traverse and place the door handle.
  • Step 10

  • 10. Place the door on the frame hinges and adjust the upper spring hinge.
